Tag...

My husband...

What is his name? Dustin Bryan Peterson

How long have you been together? We have been married for 3-1/2 years

How long did you date? 4 months dated, 4 months engaged (when you know you know!!)

Where did you meet? Zoology class my Freshman year. He didn't want to date a freshman so we just remained friends until my Senior year (I guess I had blossomed?) then we started dating.

How old is he? 27

Who eats more? He does...by far....

Who said I love you first? I think I did?

Who is taller? Him...he is 6'5 and I am 5'5....yes yes I can wear any shoe I can dream of and he will still be taller, by far!

Who sings better? Depends, i think I have him beat with kid songs (who know if they are ever in tune) but I love listening to him sing at church

Who is smarter? I say him...he can actually add without using his fingers

Who does the laundry? I do...

Who does the dishes? We switch. If I made dinner he used to clean but now with Bennett I LOVE cleaning the kitchen rather than holding a screaming baby! (Side note:Bennett is a great baby but as Shannon noted dinner time falls in the witching hour around our home)

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Well, he used to sleep nearest the door (safety reasons...yes I am a wuss) but with Bennett I have to get up a lot more so I sleep there.

Who pays the bills? He does...once again the whole math thing....

Who mows the lawn? One day he will...and he is looking forward to it!

Who cooks dinner? I do, if Dustin cooked it would be pizza every night! (smile)

Who drives when you are together? He does-unless I am dropping him off at school

Who is more stubborn? I think him

Who kissed who first? He kissed me...in the front seat of his 4-runner.

Who asked who out? He asked me out 4 seperate occasions before I finally agreed.

Who proposed? He did....New Year's Eve at my parents condo in Snowbird overlooking the mountains....how romantic!

Who is more sensitive? Me....I think every woman is more sensitive especially with pregnancy hormones involved etc...

Who has more friends? i think he has more friends than I do.... but I do have a lot of friends that i have made throughout the years. Maybe it is even? I have to have some points for my friendship with Amanda Fannin who i became friends with in preschool? And then you have my family...at that point I outweigh him by far!! Right Shannon, Carma, Deya....??

Who has more siblings? Well.... sticky question. I did, but now we both have the same amount- 3 siblings each.

Who wears the pants in the family? We have the saying that Dustin is the head of our household, but I am the neck and I suggest the ways that the head should turn. (smile)

I would like to tag:
Allison Lentz
Shannon Martino
Kate Perks
Megan Roberts
AND
Meagan Cooper!

The joy of motherhood

Yesterday was like every other day...feeding two kids all the time, changing lots and lots of poopy diapers.. and dealing with all sorts of temper tantrums. Tantrums over not making the right kind of breakfast, not going fast enough in the car, making her go down for nap...and as you other moms know the list just continues.

Yet last night as I went to tuck Halle in bed I was just breathing sighs of relief that I was going to have one in bed and one more to go shortly after. Our nightly routine is to say prayers, and then I read two stories to her. Last night was "The Doorbell Rang", and "What Makes a Rainbow"...typical choices. As I finished reading I turned to Halle and gave her kisses goodnight as she told me "Mommy...my best friend." At that point all chaos from earlier in the day had disappeared as my heart just melt because my daughter actually considered me to be her best friend. As I tucked her in bed and went downstairs to put Bennett down i felt more calm as my son screamed his bloody head off throughout the entire bath, i fed him, burbed him, and then gave him a sweet kiss knowing that one day I too would be his best friend.

I woke up in a grand mood this morning- and decided that I would make blueberry pancakes for breakfast. A special treat for Halle and I as we are both breakfast fans. As I was making pancakes I went to go ask Halle to come set the table and as I approached she was giving our brainless cat Klio a big hug (literally laying on top of her) and telling her..."Klio...your my bestest friend"...

Oh well.

Here is Alex

For those of you who questioned...yes Alex was there and we loved having her...and here is a picture of how big she has gotten!!

Bennett's Blessing Weekend

What a weekend!! We (sadly) said goodbye to Grammy on Friday morning as she was going back to Texas but got to welcome my family in late Friday night! Both parents and my siblings Drew and Alex came in town to help us bless Bennett on Sunday morning! It was so much fun to show my Dad Bloomington...I think he had more fun playing with Halle and seeing his only Grandson. On Sunday morning I think I jinxed us by saying "Halle screamed her entire blessing, let's hope Bennett doesn't"..yeah well he screamed from the beginning up until the end. Then he stopped and looked around like, ok it is done so I can stop screaming! Hahah, it was a great blessing and Dustin did a magnificent job. After that we had a little luncheon at our home for all those that came to the blessing and other friends. It was so much fun to have so many people in our home eating with us. We did get a picture as a family but I will have to wait until my mom can send me a copy- these are all pictures from the day. Halle had a hard time saying goodbye to everyone...I think she thought that if she didn't say goodbye they wouldn't leave. It was major tears as "Pops" and "Sugar" drove away...Halle kept telling us "I go jexas sugar pops???" Super cute. Today is the first official day of being alone with two kids without looking forward to someone coming. It was a great day!! I think I can definitely handle two kids (I better be able to...I really don't have much of a choice!!) I do love having two kids though... is it sad that I am already excited for a third?? (DON'T WORRY.... in time...not any time soon!!!!!!!)
