Banana

Sorry no pics from my camera to accompany this post...I need to find the camera charger so until then just a brief update and a link to check out.

Things are going great here, besides the intense heat we have been having a fun summer! I went to the Dr. this morning for the glucose test- and instead of that orange soda stuff I had fruit punch...switching things up a bit! He also had quite the struggle finding little guys heartbeat (always makes you nervous), so they wheeled in the sonogram machine and he is looking nice and healthy. THE only downfall is the fact that he then proceeded to say "um....that makes sense....a bit weird....but ok..." He then told me that normally the uterus is supposed to look like a ball...basketball...beachball...etc..but mine looks like a banana. (NICE) Hopefully things will grow better these next couple of weeks, but if not we could be in for some interesting pregnancy pics.

Kids are doing great, Halle has her first (and maybe last) dance recital this weekend. She hates dance. Makes me feel really good about the $75+ we paid for costume, tickets, etc...(sickening right?) They had a rehearsal this weekend, here are pics from it. Look at the second row, far left-pink with yellow costumes. She is on the far right hand side, hands on hips showing all sorts of attitude. (At least she didn't give dirty looks like some of the girls!!) Bennett has become a lot more vocal with life, he is really expressing his opinions lately and finds GREAT humor in wrestling with the cats. (Yes he wins). Life is grand, and we are eager for the fall to begin and to meet our "banana baby".

Book Club

We had book club tonight, and read a GREAT book...thanks to Amy for the recommendation!

If you haven't read this book yet I highly recommend reading it!! It took me....maybe a day and a half to finish it! Great story, easy to read- and above all a lot better than sitting around watching tv!

NBA Date

We are getting some nice benefits with my husband working for the college here. We scored FREE tickets to the NBA Summer league games last week. (We are talking $35 tickets here....yep, $35 per ticket!!) AND WE GOT IN FOR FREE! Woohoo! We got a sitter and went out...it was actually a lot of fun! I am not a big sport person but being there was fun- it was like a college who's who basketball game! We even got to see some pretty familiar faces..and you know that if I recognize them then they have got to be pretty big!

We saw- Dan Majerle, Steve Kerr, Kevin Durant, Ty Lawson, Jarred Bayless, and so many other big players!!

All in all it was a successfull night!

Babysitter- $20
Dinner out-$10
NBA Games-$Free

Time out with my husband...priceless

Hopefully everyone went out on a great date this past week!

Private

Well my plan has been sabotaged. I can't go private due to too many legitimate friends. So- I will just have to keep my eyes open for creepy weird people!

As a side note Dustin's cousin took some pics of us while we were in California a couple of weeks ago...I thought they turned out great!!

Princess Party

Halle had a little princess party this past week- she wore her new Belle dress and even had her hair done just like Belle. They got to beat a pinata, play "pin cinderella in her castle", decorate their own princess cakes, play dress up, and even make their own necklaces. They had such a fun time, and Halle enjoyed it so much she had a princess attitude the rest of the day! It was fun to have friends over...we need to do it more often not just on special occasions!!

Happy Birthday!

A little late, but Halle turned 4 on the 9th of July. We had a little family day- breakfast (her choice) Lucky Charms- then spent the rest of the morning at the park. Then we went and met Dustin at work to go eat at Red Robin for a birthday lunch (which of course the kids loved) they got balloons and Halle even got a birthday song sung to her! When Dustin got home from work he brought flowers and balloons for Halle (and flowers for me) then we celebrated her birthday with her favorite meal-macaroni and ham. I know...crazy! Then we had a sleeping beauty cake and opened presents...overall a very fun day!! We are so glad that Halle joined our family- she is such a joy and treasure!!
