Pictures

I woke up this morning (1 am to be exact) with a NASTY sinus infection....blah...seriously? This is the 2nd one I have ever had, first one being while I was pregnant with Miles. Booo.

On a better note, we went and got Halle's 5 year old pics taken on Monday morning. I let her pick the outfit and I think her choice shows her personality perfectly.

I think that I can now be labeled as the biggest cheap skate- we go in to get her pics taken, I bring with me one of their coupons (you know, the ones that say free sitting and a free 10 X 13) get her pics taken, get our free picture and walk out. Yep, I only got the free one that they give. It is the perfect size for our upstairs hallway so I kinda think why waste money on more.

On a really exciting note my parents and sister are coming back into the country tonight. They have been gone for 3 weeks in Jerusalem and Europe...must be a rough life.

Barbie Party

On Saturday we had Halle's friend party- which was so much fun. She had 8 of her little friends over to play games, do a pinata, eat cake and overall have a good time. It was so much fun!!

Family Party

For Halle's family birthday party she chose to have macaroni and burgers for dinner- I made a simple cake for dinner since she had her fun cake for her birthday party. It is suppose to be the barbie silhouette. She had so much fun celebrating- and the boys loved helping her!

Pre-Birthday Haircut

Halle got to go get a pre-birthday haircut-she was the model at a church thing where we learned to cut little kids hair! She loves short hair...so I agreed and once again we got a good little chop.

Peanuts

We had a fun morning this morning. Enough fun for me for awhile. I went running this morning- while I was out running D was upstairs showering and Bennett decided he was hungry NOW. He didn't want to wait for breakfast and wanted to find something to eat-so he opened up the pantry and the only thing he could eat were peanuts. He ate some (no idea how many) put them back, and kept rummaging. When I got back Halle came to me and yelled "Bennett ate peanuts". I didn't think it was too big of a deal (Halle is telling on him because they finished off a bunch of Miles cereal the other day because they were hungry and got in trouble...and no we don't starve our children), so I went upstairs to shower and get ready. At about 7:45 Bennett starts throwing up, then his body starts getting hives EVERYWHERE, and the hives start swelling....I immediantly throw him in a cold tub and give him some benadryl (thanks to my good friend Liz whose son is allergic to milk I knew what to do). From that point I start watching him.... and then his face starts to swell up like a balloon. (anyone seen Hitch? When he eats....what shellfish?) so I call our Dr. and immediantly take him in. Of course by the time we get in and see the Dr. evertyhing is looking better, but he does say that yes, Bennett does have a peanut allergy and to remove all peanuts from where he can get to them. He also sent us home with an epipen. Nice. The good news is that Bennett is just fine, and that yes- all peanut products will have to be removed from his reach- and I will have to start checking labels because peanuts are in a lot of things!
