Dustin's Big 30 BASH!

We celebrated Dustin's Birthday on the 24th by grilling up some burgers, having some friends over, eating a delicious cake, and playing some rockband (Dustin's b-day gift from his Dad).

Sunday Dress

This was an attempt at Easter outfit heavens was it difficult with three kids!

Egg Dyeing

We dyed Easter eggs the night before Easter...nothing like a little last minute egg dyeing due to your husband being out of town all week!

To Celebrate

Today marks our 6 year wedding anniversary, Happy Anniversary Babe! According to tradition you are supposed to celebrate by giving each other either candy, iron, or wood (sounds like we shouldv'e gone golfing right?). Due to an EXTREMLY tight budget (thank you Gov. Gibbons and his cabinet for failing to manage the finances of our state) we went all out tonight. I am talking BIG TIME. We took the kids to Lovell Canyon and cooked hot dogs and smores over a fire. It was so nice to get away and to really feel like we were in the middle of nowhere. The kids loved playing in the dirt, Halle loved collecting lady bugs, and Bennett enjoyed throwing things into the fire (don't worry mostly wood). I spent all my time enjoying my sweet heart of 6 years, looking back at all we have done and accomplished. We have lived in 6 states, held 5 different jobs, visited four foreign countries, had three children, owned two pets, and only loved one...each other. It has been such a wonderful time thus far and I am eager and excited to see what the next 6 ..what the eternities will bring. So did I get my husband any of the traditional gifts? If you count the fire than yes, but it really isn't all about the gifts is it?

Big 3-0!!

Just had to get on and wish the best man in the whole wide world a big Happy Birthday. The desktop mouse is I will have to load up pics of his double layer chocolate cake, with homemade chocolate double dipped strawberries another day. The poor guy had to work all day today...7:30 is now almost 9:30pm and he still isn't home. Happy Birthday sweetie-

Busy busy...

Life has been super busy....really isn't that new, but we have had some new changes in our lives.

Dustin has been gone a total of 9 weekends since I know I really can't complain compared to women whose husbands are gone for weeks at a time. But seriously, 9 weekends by myself, and of me going to church with 3 monsters all by myself?? That is never fun. Speaking of D, the big man turns the big 3-0 this weekend. Planning a TOTAL bash for the party man... he wants burgers and his family for his birthday. Nothing more...what a great guy.

I got a new calling at church last week, I am now the 1st counselor in the primary! I am super excited to work with the new presidency and especially excited to be working with the children again. I am still training for my triathlon on the 15th...anxious to see how I will do. I am also looking for some fabric stores in the area...haven't found one that I love-

Kiddos are doing great- Halle is finishing up her last year in preschool...seriously kindergarten? ggeezzzzz.... i can't believe that she will be that old! Bennett is 100% potty trained (meaning he will now tell me when he has to go...whoop!) and Miles...sweet sweet big chunker is growing by the day. He is grabbing things with his chubby fingers and putting them in his mouth...Bennett even put his WHOLE binkie in Miles' mouth (didn't know that could fit!) I am just have a blast with my three little monsters!

Last but not least, let's end this post with a thought...and if you have tried this, please feel free to tell me what you thought.

Until then, this just makes me throw up in my mouth.

MY Easter Present

I got the BEST easter present this year... my husband came home from a long work trip. He got home late last night and I am so happy to have him home again! I try to blog when he is gone...but all I want to talk about is the fact that I miss him-and nobody really wants to hear that! He was in New Orleans building homes with a bunch of students for spring break (you know, instead of the going to Mexico and drinking yourself silly?) and had a great time. He brought home a special treat for me, ooohh lala!

So yummy! AND on that note, I just signed up for my second triathlon. SUPER SUPER excited about it, and since I just paid this means I HAVE to start training. (Great way to get rid of those last 5 STUBBORN baby lbs) It is on May 15th, which gives me exactley 6 weeks until this baby happens! The best part is that this is an all girls triathlon and it is on a different course than the one I did a year and a half ago. Super excited, and hoping I will have a couple friends join me...what is better than doing a race with a bunch of friends?

For those interested...yes Easter pics will be up soon.
