Another Sick Monday

Halle spent all last week sick. A fever...that is it. As long as I kept her on ibuprofen she seemed normal.

Boys got it Sat & Sun so it looks like we will be spending another week inside.

I did go to Old Navy over the weekend and scored some major deals. THE BEST DEAL? Did you know that at old navy- usually by the checkout they have a cardboard box full of "stuff". Things that fell off outfits, things without pricetags....and all of these things go for .10. That is right. 10 cents. Bennett got a new tie- 10 cents, Halle got two new headbands 10 cents, Glow in the dark necklaces- 10 cents (because who doesn't want some). I also scored a golf polo for D-man for .96, yep 96 cents. I was super proud.

Here are some pics of the boys and I goofing around this morning- nothing like passing time playing with photo booth.

Waffles

I found a full waffle in my bathroom garbage this morning. I know everyone ate breakfast...so what little person decided to put a whole other one in the trash...because that is where you stick things when you want to come back to them? gross

huh

We met our new pediatrician today. She is great- she specializes in asthma and we started a program with Bennett. He now has an inhaler every day that he has to do (has anyone every taught a 3 year old how to do an inhaler?? Hints?? Ideas??) Along with another inhaler for emergencies, prednisolone for emergencies-oh and while we were there we found that MIles has an ear infection. If my kids don't get better soon they will end up spending their college savings on drugs...(ironic to say...)

We are currently looking at homes- as much fun as it is to live in a shoebox of a house we are eager and excited for the homes that we have found. Gorgeous. No rush though- seeing as we are still paying the mortgage on our home in Vegas (get it RENTED!) and our rent here...ggeezzzz.

pictures...nope. Still haven't found the camera charger...I think my brother sold it on ebay. just sayin cause he would totally do something like that...(smile)

so for now, you can see what naptime looks like at our house- boys asleep, me on the computer, and the furry friend helping.

A Sickly Christmas

Christmas didn't exactley go how we wanted it to this year...at all. Let me start from the very begininning.

The Friday before Christmas Halle had her class Christmas party which the boys and I went to. I LOVE her new teacher...so we went to be supportive and help. As we were sitting there- another Dad (I think to myself of course it was a dad...no offense dads) was sitting there with his son who was HACKING up a lung. Gross, wet, mucusy coughing everywhere. Sitting there I thought- we are going to get this...Bennett will get this.

We went down to spend the week before Christmas with Dustin's family. A collision of events happened on Monday- there was a severe weather change (get those asthmatic kids everytime...going from 50 - 80 degrees in one day), and that Christmas party bug started to show its face. I spent all that day on the phone with our ped (see previous post) and finally got a nebulizer and some meds for Bennett to hopefully prevent what I new was coming.

It got worse

and worse

and Miles started coughing.... and Halle started coughing...and Dustin started coughin

Christmas eve we knew that things were not good- after a blessing (which of course made me emotional) we decided we would take everyone to the Dr. the next day. Merry Christmas...right?

We went in to the urgent care where we heard the synopsis.
Halle had bronchitis
Bennett had pneumonia
Miles had RSV...again (had it last winter)
And sweet Dustin had bronchitis...
(me...healthy as a horse....still never got it)

That day we had to make an "adult decision"...as opposed to all those non-adult decisions in life. We made the official call that we were going to cancel the ski trip that we had planned all year. So. We did just that.

Instead of driving up to Utah to go ski the powdery slopes of Snowbird, we drove south...back to Houston with meds in tow to get feeling better.

For the most part everyone is feeling better- Dustin has taken the longest time to heal but the kids are back to themselves. We have pictures of Christmas- but have yet to find the camera charger so that we can charge the battery (which died) to upload pictures.

So for now... this is all I can do...
