Thanksgiving Part 2

After our Thanksgiving feast we headed over to my mother-in-laws place to finish off the weekend.
We went out to a festival of lights in Grapevine first...it was super cute and the kids enjoyed seeing all the Christmas lights!
This was a cute picture until I blew it up...where does she get the idea??? Crazy
After walking around we came back and celebrated Miles birthday (again)...for the 3rd time. Miles also managed to get a nice goose egg while exploring earlier...yikes.

IT was such a fun thanksgiving break, a nice break from reality! We got to sleep in (7...which is sleeping in), we enjoyed being around all the family... now back to reality for 3 more weeks until Christmas break! woohoo!

Thanksgiving Week- part 1

For the first part of Thanksgiving week we went to my parents place, the kids had a blast having so much space to play outside!! My dad had the idea to have the kids in the red car then push them down my grandparents driveway-
I couldn't believe how fast the car would get going...I don't think I would have ever thought of doing that!
This little guy just loved exploring!
Sadly I didn't get any other pictures- (what is my issue?!) We also celebrated Miles birthday with my parents, enjoying playing with family, the girls went out and saw Breaking Dawn, and shopping.

Our feast was incredible- we enjoyed TWO turkeys (smoked and traditional), lots of sides, and 9 pies to choose from for dessert. (We spent all day Wednesday making pies).

Birthday Cake

See this cute face-

Of course he wanted a "melmo" cake
We blew out the candles then opened presents...before eating the cake (less mess right?)
He loved being doted on by his siblings...

Happy Birthday Miles!

Today was Miles 2nd Birthday- I think it was about 97% fun today, hopefully he just won't remember that 3%!

He started out the day choosing cereal for breakfast (he wanted to mix all three boxes in one bowl) and of course downed a good portion of it. We got ready then went to a Dr. appointment (that 3%) where she put Miles on an antibiotic for a runny nose for the past 3 weeks, and got a shot for his 2 year old visit. He is weighing in at 31 lbs, 95th percentile for everything except his head which is 110% (big brains require big heads).

Then we went to Chick-fil-a for lunch, YUM. They heard it was Miles birthday so they brought him and Bennett giant icecream cones with sprinkles...the manager looked at me and said I need something too so he brought me a giant brownie icecream sundae! (Talk about the best family place ever!)

We celebrated the rest of the day with birthday cake and presents (pictures of the night to come)

We love you Miles and so grateful you joined us 2 years ago!!!

Trick or Treat

We have done trick or treating in a LOT of cities...but I have to admit that our neighborhood had the best candy!!!
I started off the night trying to get one picture (notice the costume change for Miles)
 I just wanted one...
 Since that wasn't happening
We started going. Halle and Bennett were super fast- and loved getting the candy.
Miles caught on pretty fast, but never was as fast as the older two. He tried his hardest to keep up!
And they were pretty good at keeping an eye out for him.

Halloween Party

Our cute cheerleader and spiderman-
And this cute little wolfman did NOT want to put on his top...he was NOT a fan of his costume.
And this studly man- I think this year he outdid himself- perfect costume!! (Mr. Clean for those that are confused)
Finally- we gave him candy and he let us put his hat on...for about 2 minutes.

Carving Pumpkins

We carved pumpkins right before Halloween- the kids loved it. Well- most of them.
Bennett was not a fan of getting his hands dirty,
Halle loved it- and Miles was all about getting dirty and helping out.
