A Toy Story Halloween-

We had a fabulous Halloween. A fabulous Toy Story Halloween.

The kids enjoyed dinner.

And then really enjoyed games.

They caught on to the trunk or treat really really fast...and would go as fast as they could from car to car.

Miles raided the kids buckets when we got home, and loved eating the suckers.

It was a wonderful Halloween, and the family theme made it even more fun. Especially because Halle reffered to us as Mr. Potato head and Sister Potato head all night.

Cupcakes for Cancer

Dear Friends, family, and neighbors-
In two weeks I will be running a 5K race to help support my friends' son, Greg, who has been diagnosed with cancer-Burkitts Lymphoma. This fun, family event will be held on Saturday, November 13th at 9:00 am in Westchester Hills housing development in Las Vegas.

Many of you live here and I hope you will join with me either in running the 5K or walking the 1 or 2 mile race. There will be train rides for the kids as well as a 100 yard dash. It should be a lot of fun. Greg and his family will be passing out cupcakes that morning to those who come to support this event.

There are also many of you who do not live close by but may want to help this amazing family by donating or pledging a set amount for each of the 3.2 miles I will run. This is easily done through Paypal -donate here or sending me a check made out to Cupcakes for Cancer.

Most of us have been touched by cancer in some way. Here is a chance to come to gather and help ease the burden of Greg's family as they endure this trial in their lives. I will run for my love for the Downer family and the battle Greg is fighting. I will run for my brother, Brandon, who lost his battle 5 years ago. Will you run with me? Who will you run for?

Preschool Party

Here is Bennett and Addison, these two had so much fun together these past two months. I am bummed to be leaving because it has been such a pleasure teaching these two!!

They both are so sweet and nice, we had a blast doing Halloween crafts, decorating cookies, and enjoying some delicious treats!! (If you can't tell Bennett completely adores Addison!!)

Carving Pumpkins

We carved pumpkins for family home evening Monday and had some great helpers!

We gave Miles a small pumpkin to keep him entertained and it did the trick!

Halle put on her "pumpkin carving shirt" and went to work. She cleaned the entire thing out, then put the face that she wanted carved on it.
Bennett was not a fan of cleaning out his own pumpkin, it took him just about 5 years to clean it out. He then drew his own face on it...we think it looks surprisingly similiar to his own features.
What a fun way to light up the night...hopefully the pumpkins will last until Halloween!!

Texas, Our Texas! all hail the mighty State!

We can finally "publicly" announce-

We have accepted a job in the great and wonderful state of Texas.
Rice University to be exact.
We have FOUR weeks to get there...(like I have been really good at blogging anyway) so you won't notice much of a difference on here.
We are excited and thrilled for this next step.
So...if you live in the Houston area- please please please contact me. We are working at getting a place to live and letting everything else fall into place. Woohoo-
**Also- if you want to live in Vegas...let us know. We might have a great deal on a super cute home...

Walking Man

Seems like Miles was a tad bit slow on the crawling idea, but now that he has it down it has taken no time to learn how to climb the stairs, or walk along the furniture.I tend to question how those small feet can hold his HUGE body... He is a GREAT helper doing dishes (hasn't broken anything yet)

Halle's second soccer game

Hoping for a story of success with the second soccer game?With a bribe of going to "Poppies" (an icrecream place here)we talked about it ALLLLL week
Yet, during the warm up she started crying, A-G-A-I-N. sat the entire game on the sidelines...NOT picture worthy.seriously???
