The Triathlon...

I did my 4th triathlon this weekend...yes, my name is Samye and I am a triaholic. It is a TOTAL bummer that they are so darn expensive because I really would do so many more of these.

It was a wonderful tri- I had two really good friends do it with me (it was their first) and they are still my friends...so I figure they had a wonderful time too!

Here is my cheer team-they were the best cheerleaders ever! Sweet Bennett never could find me- the first time he saw me was at the finish line. Every time I would ride by him he just had this lost distant look in his face.
And this sweet man, he was the best cheerleader- finding me all along the course and cheering me on!!

These are the girls that did it with me- it was so much fun having people to train with and then to go to the big race day with. These two girls are amazing and it was such a treat! And yes, I do realize how gorgeous we look...but hey after what we went through I am surprised we look this good!

I placed 4th overall for my age division and improved on my swim and bike time by a good amount. The run was kind of rough since I developed a stress fracture at THE BEGINNING of the swim. So running a 5K on a stress fracture....definitely don't recommend that! Hopefully we can find another one to do soon...anyone else want to join us...we have a LOT of fun!

Bennett's "Friend" Party

How long can a birthday last? In our home, they last about 1 week. We finally had Bennett's friend party last Thursday and it was so much fun! My really good friend came and took pics with her camera of the party (so now of course I am in love with her camera). We had such a fun time-

Miles loved the party, especially because he is now mobile- yep at 9-1/2 months, and 23lbs he is finally moving! (woohoo)

First Day of Preschool!

Today was Bennett's first day of preschool too! He loved being finally able to go to preschool and loved it even more that Ms. Samye was the teacher...

Happy Birthday Bennett!

Happy birthday to the sweetest boy ever! Bennett is such a fun little boy to have in our family and he always keeps us on our toes. We love him so very much!!

Cher...

WE went and saw Cher last night in concert. I don't think I have any words that can describe her concert...it was...quite the show. Luckily we didn't pay face value for our seats (of course) we got to sit in $245 seats for FREE! Cher was quite the performer and sadly no cameras were allowed in to the concert! She (by far) had some of the risqueist clothes that I have ever seen a 65+ woman wear...it was crazy! We had a lot of fun though, the performers were great, her costumes were out of this world, and it was nice getting away with my hubby for a fun date night.

My birthday

I had such a fabulous birthday-many well wishes and the best hubby who spoiled me rotten. We had a fun time celebrating as a family- when I put the bow on the top of my head Bennett had a really hard time "get that off....don't like it". IT was a wonderful day and I am so grateful that I could celebrate it with my family!!

Cheesecake party

I was so lucky to have both my parents and my grandparents in town the day before my birthday- we went and celebrated at Cheesecake Factory!! YUM. The food was so delicious- and to top it off I had a Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake slice for dessert. So YUMMY!! The only time I whipped out the camera I caught these two pictures... priceless.
