Happy Anniversary!!

Little bit late, but haven't had the time to update. BUT- we did celebrate our 5 year anniversary on Friday (woohoo!!) In one aspect it seems have we only been married for 5 years?? It seems like we have been together forever (which is a good thing) and then I think wow, we have so much more life ahead of us!! So exciting!! This is a picture of us on our honeymoon 5 years ago...

For our anniversary I thought we had decided to not really do anything (since we have that trip coming up)- so I made a nice dinner (pork loin on the grill, grilled veggies, red potatoes and then a chocolate fudge cake for dessert...mmmmm...). But during the day Dustin sent me a little present-

We never do flowers so this was a huge surprise! I thought that he was the sweetest man in the world, little did I know that he had more up his sleeve! After dinner he told me the had a special activity he wanted me to do- he handed me a clue and I was off. He took me all over the house with sweet little clues
Then I ended up finding a little something that he had purchased (boy does he spoil me!)

Needless to say I think I am the luckiest girl in the world to feel so loved by this man who would do anything for me. And I know that I would do anything for him too!! I love you so much and look forward to many more happy years together!!! Happy Anniversary D!!

Swimsuit Issues....

Thanks to the many responses about swimsuits... all great suggestions. I do have one other big problem though- I plan on gaining a good amount of weight this summer so I need a suit that can transition with me. Yep-
I AM PREGNANT!!!
I am due November 23rd, yes it will be a very Happy Thanksgiving. We went in to see the doctor for some pics and the heartbeat today so it seems a little more real. Everything looks great, and as the Dr. said the baby looks like a little gingerbread man right now...no fingers just appendages wiggling at us! We are very excited to be adding another kiddo to our family and excited to be sharing the news with all of you!!

Birthday boy!

Boy am I glad I married him, he really takes care of me all the time. Such a sweet heart.
We had such a wonderful time celebrating his birthday last weekend!! We went out on Saturday night for a date night...and get this... we shopped. It was SO NICE shopping without kids (sorry Halle and Bennett) but it was!!! He got some much needed jeans, sunglasses, and other things that will come in handy for our trip next month. Yep we are taking a trip, and guess what? I have no idea where we are going!! All I know is that I will need beachy type clothing...and no kids (thanks mom and dad). Woohoo... now I Am just trying to find a new swimsuit that I will like (suggestions?)

Happy Birthday Dustin!

Today was such a wonderful day- we celebrated Dustin's birthday!! He turned the big 29 and I think loved every moment of it! We started off this morning with a breakfast of bacon, french toast, bacon, and eggs...oh and yes bacon (yes he does need to get his cholesterol checked) but it was fantastic! Then for lunch we went and surprised him up at work with a huge Texas Sheet cake (I found a FANTASTIC recipe) and some balloons. We "kidnapped him" and took him to lunch. Then he got home fro work and we had shishkabobs (his fav) with a mint chocolate chip icecream cake for dessert. The kids gave them their presents- and Halle kept the secret for a whole 24 hours!! Halle got him a kite and Bennett got him a football...and both kids were super excited that they got the coolest presents ever for their dad!! We are about to go enjoy a movie together, but wanted to wish my hubby a Happy Birthday and let him know that he means the world to me!! I love you!!!

Happy Easter

Here are our Sunday morning Easter pics-the kids had a blast searching for eggs when they woke up and it turned out to be a beautiful day.

Fair

We went to the County Fair today...what a MISERABLE day to go! But we had a blast! Dustin just laughed and said it was bringing me back to my roots. It rained the entire time we were there and was about 50 degrees...a big change from what the weather at our house was!!

We had a blast, but decided that next year we will have to check the weather up there before we head out!!

Easter Eggs

We made Easter eggs on Friday night...and it just gets messier and messier the older these kiddos get! They had so much fun though, although Bennett did find that eating the egg with the shell does not taste good!!
